Ben Jones, Jr., Birmingham, AL

As a local realtor, Mr. Jones assisted the Bush Hills Neighborhood in establishing the Operation Pride Committee for the community to serve as a network venue to involve residents. In addition to eliminating blight, he networks with parents and youth to increase neighborhood pride in the Bush Hills Neighborhood.

Bayer Foundation, Kansas City, MO

Through their CropScience’s program, Bayer Foundation has shown their commitment to the Kansas City community by encouraging open dialogue with community leaders via their Community Advisory Panel, supporting employee volunteerism activities and providing philanthropic contributions in support of science and cultural arts education projects that benefit local children, families and neighborhoods.

Community Hospital of Long Beach, California

Community Hospital of Long Beach has made a significant impact on the community through their support of the Neighborhood Leadership Program (NLP), a trilingual six-month course that provides fifty grassroots community leaders from primarily low-income communities training in English, Spanish and Khmer (Cambodian) to develop the skills and networks essential to neighborhood involvement.

Bank of America

Through the Bank of America – Neighborhood Initiative Award program, the Kansas City regional office has awarded support to grassroots neighborhood associations throughout Kansas City, Missouri. Through this grant program general operating support and leadership training opportunities are possible.

Chester Bishop – Sureality Title Company

Since 1986, Mr. Bishop has selflessly volunteered thousands of hours educating over 10,000 participants who have attended affordable housing workshops throughout the Broward, Miami-Dade and Palm Beach County areas of South Florida. In addition, he has provided services, contributed sponsorships and volunteer time giving back in numerous ways to the community by serving on municipal Citizen Advisory Boards and sponsoring affordable housing conference programs and CDBG events in Broward County.
