Taking Out the Trash: Spokane’s Neighborhood Clean-up Program
In 2008, Spokane’s neighborhoods removed over 800 tons of refuse from the community. Each year Spokane’s 27 neighborhood councils are provided with $5,000 of in-kind service from the City Solid Waste Department to use in a variety of manners geared towards cleaning up the neighborhoods. Sign up for this workshop to learn about the program details, how it is successful in Spokane and how to implement a similar program in your neighborhood.
